Fresh Italian Black 'Perigord' Winter Truffles 500g

We are really excited to be able to offer you exceptional quality, fresh truffles from our long-time supplier in Acqualagna, Umbria 'Acqualagna Tartufi'. From December to mid March the highly prized king of the black truffle Perigord Black (tuber melanosporum vitt) truffles are available. Known for their strong but delicate, flavour (much stronger than the autumn, summer or spring black truffles) and highly sensual aroma, Perigord Blacks can be cooked without losing any of their incredible earthy, nutty flavour.

Black winter truffle are one of the most common truffle types; they're also known as Perigord Truffles, named after the Perigord region in France where they're commonly found. Their flavour lends well to meats and cheeses.

Individual truffle sizes range from 20g to 90g.
