Cornish Yarg Cheese Tower by The West Country Cheese Co. - Wedding Cheese Cake

Based on the Cornish Yarg cheese, this cheese cake tower is perfect to show off the highest quality of British cheeses.

• Base: Cornish Yarg, 3.4kg approx - This unique cheese is wrapped in nettle leaves which are picked wild from the surrounding area. A semi-hard cheese, slightly creamy and crumbly, texture is a bit between a cheddar and caerphilly. The flavour is fresh and lemony when the cheese is young becoming more aromatic with age and the edible nettles impart a delicate, slightly mushroomy flavour as the cheese matures

  2nd Tier: Quickes Mature Cheddar 1.8kg - 2kg (7" diameter) - Superb handmade traditional cheddar which has the quality and unique and complex flavour of a traditional rinded cheddar

  3rd Tier: Baby Colston Bassett Stilton, 1kg - One of Britain's best known cheeses is Stilton, Colston Bassett is one of the best in the country. Mellow and deliciously creamy with lovely rich deep savoury flavours. A delicate spicy tang from the blue veins comes through with a rounded and superb lingering finish

  Top Tier: Somerset Camembert x 2, 200g - A delicious delicate creamy camembert.

We’ve used two mild and creamy soft Somerset Camembert’s and tied raffia round them. A small amount of dark natural raffia is included for this purpose.
