Our Story

The first truffle of the the Nono family was called 'Macro Marz' Micronutrients Marzipan. This stemmed from me seeking something delicious for my son who has autism, epilepsy, celiac and allergies. It was the sort of flavour that my son would eat. My son's special school doesn't allow nuts. So, the 'marzipan' had to be completely nut-free. And it is! One parent's nightmare is another parent's dream: my son loved the taste of Macro Marz: a dark chocolate-covered snack containing pea protein, hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, spirulina packed with minerals, omega3, energy and essential micronutrients.

We are Functional Food Co and dedicated to offer alternative food choices for people with the need to eat differently for medical reasons and for people implementing a healthy diet. Our snacks are free from Gluten, Dairy, Nuts, Egg, Artificial Ingredients and Preservatives. We are registered Vegan. We use mostly organic and ethically grown produce to make our delicious snacks.

We make a 'better for you' and beautiful. All our products were developed due to personal health goal and we are on the mission to help others. We are setting up a Nono foundation to provide work experience for young people with autism.
