This bitter sweet jam is made from Italy's most prized onion originating from the stretch of coastline between Capo Vaticano and Vibo Valentia in the southern region of Calabria. The Tropea Sweet Red Onion is one of the sweetest red onions in the world and combined with white wine vinegar, raisins and elderberries in this velvety spread makes a very special accompaniment to roast and boiled meats, smoked cheeses, Parmesan and Pecorino.

Founded almost 20 years ago by Santo Cauteruccio in the small town of Buonvicino in the Pollino National Park in Calabria, Paradiso dei Golosi produces wonderful artisan marmalades and jams created from recipes handed down from generation to generation and made only from raw ingredients which are in season.
