The Ross & Ross Spicy Bacon Curing Kit isn't just a great looking gift, but it also offers a unique hands-on experience for them to remember, and impress their friends and family with their newly found culinary skills. We've taken inspiration from flavours like gin, classic pork charcuterie and the modern British love of spice to create some really different, really amazing spicy bacon!

    Our kit includes everything you need to cure your own spicy bacon at home. Home-curing has been a popular trend over the last year or so, giving you the ability to make proper dry-cured bacon in the comfort of your own home. Curing is any of various food preservation and flavouring processes such as meats and fish, by the addition of combinations of, salts, nitrates, nitrites or sugar. The aim is to draw the moisture out of the meat by the process of osmosis.

    Although it sounds complicated, it really isn't! The process is so simple, and only takes 7 steps. The whole process takes 7 days and your Kit comes with an easy to read instructions booklet for you to follow.

    This box contains:


    • 3 x 30g curing mixes – Old English Cure, Cotswold Chorizo Cure and British BBQ Cure

    • 1 x Spice Rub

    • 6 x plastic gloves

    • 3 x sealable curing bags: 30cm (Length) x 20cm (Width)

    • 1 x butchers hook

    • 1 x Muslin (enough for three cures) 43″ (Length) x 11.5″ (Width)

    • Easy-to-follow instructions in a handy booklet

    This product does not include pork. Comes with a one-year shelf life. You will need 500g pork belly for each 30g curing mix
