3 x Sliced Iberian Spanish Salchichón 100g: Vacuum-packed Salchichón made with a carefully curated selection of lean pork and seasoning. The Salchichón comes from Iberian pigs of the Jabugo area in the Aracena mountains, situated in the southwestern region of Andalusia in Spain.
3 x Sliced Iberian Chorizo 100g: Vacuum sealed Spanish chorizo, made with minced chunks of lean pork with natural raw materials like salt, paprika, oregano and garlic and then stuffed into the natural intestine. The Chorizo comes from Iberian pigs of the Jabugo area in the Aracena mountains, situated in the southwestern region of Andalusia in Spain.
It is a natural park as well as World Biosphere Reserve. The pigs must be at least 50% pure Iberian in their race to be named as such. Breeding must also take place under an extensive regime where the animal can move freely and have physical exercise.
A quick note about nitrates and nitrites
This product contains nitrites and/or nitrates. Nitrites and nitrates are essential for both ensuring some meats are cured fully and properly and also for allowing the complex flavours to develop. Much like sulphite is a natural and important part of wine-making - nitrites do the same job for charcuterie.
