This set of three hand made and hand painted terracotta herb pots will bring a distinctly Mediterranean feel to your kitchen! Each contains wonderful aromatic dried herbs from Calabria in Southern Italy.

Marjoram 5g
This herb is similar to oregano but milder in flavour. Marjoram is particularly good with meats and seafood but can also be added to stews, sauces, salad dressings and compliments carrots, cauliflower, spinach, mushrooms and peas.
Because of its sweetness marjoram is also used for crème brûlée, in ice cream and fruit desserts.

Oregano 5g
Dried oregano has a potent aroma and flavour and is used all over Italy (but particularly in the south) in many different recipes. The dish most associated with oregano is of course pizza, with the Pizza Marinara topped simply with tomato, garlic, oil and oregano. It works well with many tomato dishes and is often added to a caprese salad or sprinkled on a bruschetta drizzled with extra virgin olive oil.

Rosemary 5g
Rosemary can be used to flavour so many Italian dishes, particularly roasted and grilled meats, poultry and fish. It also goes well with pulses, especially chick peas, cannellini beans and lentils, with potatoes naturally (roast potatoes are never served without rosemary) and also aubergines, courgettes and pumpkin.
