A great home-grown alternative to olive oil. Bell & Loxton's cold pressed rapeseed oil is grown locally in South Devon and pressed and bottled on our own farm.
Our rapeseed oil has 54% less saturated fat compared to olive oil and 45% less than sunflower oil. It's also an excellent source of omega 3 containing 9.6% by weight compared to only 0.1% for sunflower oil and 0.7% for olive oil and a good source of vitamin E too! Perfect for roasting and wok cooking, with a subtle nutty flavour making it great for drizzling, dressings and dipping.
What is cold pressing?
Exactly that, when the rapeseeds have ripened they are harvested, pressed at a low temperature to release their natural oil, naturally settled, filtered and bottled so none of the nutrients are lost.
Why aluminium bottles?
Natural oils are best kept completely in the dark. It's shatterproof, space saving and much lighter to carry and transport than glass. It also wins on recycling!
Store in a cool dry place and upright.
