Smooth and creamy, a risotto that packs the tantalising flavours of Greek risotto rice and dried wild mushrooms from the island of Evia for a quick, easy, and mouthwatering entrée!
Packed with fascinating aromas and flavours, Dirfis Mushroom Risotto is the authentic choice that never fails to attract new devotees. It's made in Pissonas, island of Evia, by Mr Lahouvaris and Mr Mastrogianis who, with zest and enthusiasm, have been devoting themselves to agricultural mycology (mushroom farming). Their love for mushrooms, non-negotiable passion for quality, and profound scientific expertise in all things mushroom have led to a range of gourmet products whose gastronomic value goes hand in hand with their bioactive and functional attributes.
Dirfis harvests its mushrooms under the watchful eye of mycologists (agriculturists specialising exclusively in mushrooms) in an environmentally friendly manner. The mushrooms are then dried naturally so that their flavor and nutritional elements may remain intact. Break out your pan and stirring ladle and get ready: Your Dirfis short-grain rice and dried wild fungi package will soon turn into the dreamiest of creamy and supple risottos scented with the elusive aroma of mushrooms!
Prep & Usage
Risotto is always served hot, hot, hot!
Stir fry the mix in a large saucepan for a few minutes. Start adding water or beef broth, stirring often, until the mix absorbs the liquid. Repeat until the rice is cooked "al dente". The risotto is ready to serve. For a more intense taste add butter and a few drops of Dirfis white truffle oil.
For the perfect Greek-style risotto, finish with a bit of white wine while stirring. The hard alcohol notes will soon evaporate leaving only the wine's elegant aromatic notes behind. Your Dirfis Mushroom Risotto can be served on its own as an entrée, or as a side dish to meats.
