Our medium variety Ajika is much like the original hot, but with a more moderate heat for those who love the strong flavours, but prefer less of that final kick. Use it as a rub or marinate on salmon or chicken. This one goes well mixed into cream cheese as a spread on crackers.
A little bit goes a long way, so use sparingly and instead of salt. You can also loosen with oil and drizzle over salad to make a nice refreshing, natural salad dressing.
Ajika translates as salt, so even though the salt content seems high, the paste only needs to be used sparingly to give all the seasoning heat and flavour you'd need in the dish or snack. Usually, depending on the dish, no other salt would need to be added if using Ajika. More importantly, there's no oil or sugar at all in the pastes.
