It may be not be considered a main dish, however once you serve Kashke Bademjan (or Bademjoon) you don't need anything else on the table except, some warm lavash (flat bread) and some cutlery, or not, just go with the flow. Use the flat bread as the cutlery even!
If you haven't tasted it yet, you're missing out. You'll be surprised how good the combination of aubergine, whey (kashk), caramelized onion and garlic can be. So simple yet so tasty.
