Italian Biscotti & Vin Santo Dessert Wine Gift Set

Did you know that the biscotti we have come to know through the invasion of global coffee houses, are actually not usually eaten with coffee in their native Italy but with Vin Santo - a type of dessert wine made of grapes dried on straw mats. It is known as Holy Wine as it was historically used in mass. It is similar to Sherry. Dip your twice baked chocolate chip cantucci biscotti into the wine and allow it to soak it up, softening the biscuit and giving you the extra joy of the sweet alcohol.
