These are first quality Italian peeled plum tomatoes. They have been grown by the best producer of peeled tomatoes in Italy, Agrigenus and are of the same quality as the San Marzano DOP. They do not however have the 'DOP' classification as they are not grown in the particular designated area of the San Marzano.
These plum tomatoes are unsurpassed for cooking as they have few seeds and firmer, meatier flesh. They cook down faster and retain a richer and sweeter flavour making them perfect for pasta and pizza sauces. Moreover they are a great price!
