The wonderfully rounded flavour of this hazelnut oil makes it a really special product. Rich with the aroma of toasted nuts, the oil adds a depth to dishes and a delicious added layer of flavour that compliments fresh fish and carpaccio. To really savour the oil though, drizzle over pasta along with a squeeze of lemon or offer as a dip for hunks of fresh crusty bread.
Made in the Loire Valley of France using a centuries-old artisan method, the nuts are first ground and roasted. The resulting warm paste is pressed to express the oil, which is then lightly filtered and bottled. To ensure nothing gets wasted, La Tourangelle sells the leftover nut cakes as cattle feed.
