A mould ripened, charcoal rubbed soft ashed goats cheese made with raw milk from our own goats and vegetarian rennet. A fantastic goats log made by Kevin and Alison Blunt in Sussex, this cheese is fine and firm when young, but becomes dense and creamy as it matures. This version is matured for up to 8 weeks and made by hand with a white penicillium rind rubbed with charcoal.
The cheese has won numerous awards over the years including the James Aldridge Award for the Best British Raw Milk Cheese and, most recently, The Best Soft Cheese and Best Raw Milk Cheese at the 2017 Artisan Cheese Awards and 2 Gold medals at this year’s Royal Bath and West British Cheese Awards.

We operate a two day delivery service, which means if your order is placed by 12 noon on Monday, this will be with you on Wednesday. Don't worry this doesn't mean your delivery will be stuck in a van for two days, it simply gives us the time to select, prepare and package your products properly with the care and attention they deserve. Orders received after 12 noon will be prepared and dispatched the following day.
We send goods by overnight carrier to destinations on the GB mainland only for a delivery by 16.00. We can deliver to your home or place of work, and to the home or work-place of your relatives, friends or colleagues. We must have a complete post code and telephone number for every delivery address. We can deliver on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays ONLY.
Because most of our products are perishable, we highly recommend that you provide us with an alternative delivery instruction for any private address; such as "leave in porch/on step/with a neighbour/behind the bins". Please send an email to email@example.com with your delivery instructions immediately after placing an order.
Please take great care when stipulating delivery locations, addresses and dates, because once these have been entered and you have received a confirmation email for your order, they cannot be changed.
Please make sure your order is stored in refrigerated storage/fridge as soon as it has been delivered.
