Bronze die cut, dried at low temperatures and made in Gragnano the birthplace of dry pasta, our Pasta Gragnanese Cannelloni not only taste better and retain all of their goodness when cooked, they also have plenty of surface area to absorb the flavour and liquid of the sauce with which they are served.
The word cannellone literally means 'big pipe'. These squares or rectangles of pasta are then rolled to form cylinders about 10cm long, filled and then layered on a baking dish, topped with sauce and put in the oven.
Traditionally, in Italy, cannelloni is a Sunday lunch or holiday dish and is usually associated with the Campania region and Sicily.
