This Ethiopian-inspired Berbere spice is a chilli based blend with a beautiful aroma and bite! Add a splash of oil to make a paste and you have a wonderful marinade for lamb, chicken or roast vegetables - just use sparingly as it is hot!
This blend is coarsely ground to use more as a marinade, but if you want to use it in a sauce you can always grind a teaspoon amount in a mortar and pestle and it will add incredible depth of flavour. Try mixing it with yoghurt for a spicy marinate - perfect for chicken, lamb or fish.
