Our spicy blend of allspice, black peppercorns, Cardamom, Cassia, Cloves, Coriander, Cumin, Nutmeg, Chilli and Paprika makes for a delicious marinade/rub for meat. Baharat spice is a common ingredient in Arabic cookery and is used to season meat, in particular lamb, poultry and fish. Baharat is the plural of Bahar, which is the Arabic word for spice. The blend works with meat, poultry, 'meaty' fish such as monkfish and vegetables. Try this aromatic spice blend as a dry rub or wet marinade to add delicious, spicy flavours to fish, meat and vegetables. Sprinkle it lightly over freshly popped corn to make a tasty spicy savoury snack, or sprinkle over potato wedges or homemade crisps. Add to minced chicken, turkey or pork with a little chopped onion to make your own spicy burgers. Mix into salad dressings or low fat yogurt to make marinades, dips or toppings for baked potatoes, salads, grilled/baked fish and roasts. May contain traces of nuts, mustard and gluten.
