This beautiful espresso coffee maker by Alessi is a successul remake of the first espresso maker created by Alfonso Bialetti in 1933. Made in aluminium casting with a black thermoplastic resin handle and knob. It makes three to four espressos on a stove top.

Born in Milan in 1931, Alessandro is a famous architect, artist, designer and journalist. He was one of the main designers behind the renovation of Italian design in the eighties. Some of his most famous works are on display in the Groningen Museum in Amsterdam and he is known for bringing together art and design resulting in popular objects that achieve great commercial success.
