2 Cases of 6 Raw Coconuts
Sold by: Cocoface
Country of Origin: Thailand
Our coconuts are raw and completely unpasteurised, they are fully intact in terms of flavour and nutrition.
Where are the coconuts from?
Nam Hom coconuts only grow in a relatively small coastal region called Ratchaburi in Thailand. We'll deliver 6 of these tasty drinking coconuts to your door, with fresh coconut flesh straight from the tree to you.
What’s in the box?
Each box contains 6 coconuts and a bag of paper drinking straws. Each coconut contains approx. 350ml coconut water and 150g jelly.
As the nuts are "From tree to you with love" they will last 2 – 3 weeks when kept sub 5 degrees. Each coconut has a best before date on the back too, so you can check there.
How to open!
There are various ways to enjoy your coconut, always starting with Step 1: Getting your Cocoface on.
With a 'robust' knife: Using much care and caution, take your knife and hack into the start of the head of the coconut all the way around to form a circle - as if you were outlining the lid shape you will later remove. Then, wedge the sharp tip of the knife into the hack openings and gently lift upwards to release the opening more. Repeat this around the circle until the lid is loose and can easily be removed, once you remove the lid the nutritious flesh will be uncovered - simply cut this portion out and enjoy the Cocoawesome.
With a Cocoface Cocopunch: Remove the stopper at the top, pick your favourite straw location, and wedge the metal end of the punch into the coconut in circular motions. After a few movements you should break through the husk and have a sweet spot to pop your straw in and enjoy.
With a Cocoface Cocojack: First make sure you have a hammer worthy worktop, a solid surface and a thick chopping board should suffice. Place the Cocojack squarely in the middle of the top of the coconut (make sure you have a firm grip), then letting gravity do all the work, bring the edge of the hammer down on the edge of the Cocojack. Repeat this until you have broken and gotten through to the coconut husk - to 'the dip' as the connoisseurs would name it. Tilt the stiffened Cocojack downwards to open the top, then slide your hand up the to the middle and place your thumb on the coconut head to release the Cocojack from the goodness that awaits inside.
