Nine Elms Drinks was founded by Simon Rucker and Zoltan Szucs-Farkas in 2016 to provide a high-quality and natural solution to the problem ‘what do you drink if you’re eating but not drinking?', and their new type of sophisticated non-alc drink, NINE ELMS No.18, is that solution.
Right from the beginning Simon & Zoltan decided that trying to do a non-alcoholic wine was not the answer. Instead, they would create a completely new type of high-quality, all-natural non-alcoholic drink, from scratch.
Following more than two years of research and experimentation with different ingredients, blends and techniques, they finally arrived at the recipe for NINE ELMS No.18: an intricate marriage between the botanical infusions of 20 different flowers, herbs and spices, and the juice of 4 types of dark berry.
NINE ELMS No.18 is a new type of gourmet non-alcoholic drink known as a ‘ruby velven’. While it is not a wine, it did win both the Best No & Low Wine or Wine Alternative and Best No & Low Food Match at the 2020 Imbibe No & Low Taste Awards, which is testament to the quality and complexity of the liquid. Mouth-watering tannins, gentle acidity and pleasing complexity do indeed mean that it pairs beautifully with a broad range of foods including antipasti, charcuterie, chargrilled vegetables, BBQ or roasted meats, cheese and chocolate, making it the premium choice for special occasions.
