Our Story

Shortly after moved into our home in the mountains of Nagano in Japan, our friendly neighbour showed us how to preserve mustard greens. As a way to say thank you, we bought her a jar of kimchi from a trip to Korea. It turned out our neighbour was Korean, not Japanese and she immediately set about teaching us how to make kimchi.

Sadly our neighbour is no more, but her recipe lives on and touches the hearts and tummies of many people.

Now we're back in the UK and carried on our journey with fermented foods. During the summer of 2019, we took our kimchi to many lovely food festivals and saw for ourselves how the public enjoy our kimchi on hotdogs, salads, burgers...with EVERYTHING!

We were surprised to find that children loved our no spice kimchi sauce as a healthy alternative to ketchup. We're also happy to see seniors very educated in probiotics and willing to try our no spice kimchi with English cheese and cold game pies.

We are not business people, nor are we looking for any kind of status in the culinary world. We are just content to see our customers continue to eat our kimchi, have a happy belly and enjoy their food in peace.
