Recipe: Valentine's Day Protein Pow Chocolates
Vegan, gluten free, packed with protein and heart shaped — what's not to love about these adorable little chocolates? This recipe from Protein Pow features fibre, antioxidants and lots of healthy fats. To make them in the adorable heart shape you'll need a chocolate mould (there are plenty available online), but if you're short on time, you can simply roll your dough into balls and dip them in melted dark chocolate to create some delicious Protein Truffles!
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (30g) Pea Protein Powder
- 1 tbsp Natural Sweetener (e.g. Stevia)
- 1/16 cup (20g) Pumpkin Seeds (milled)
- 1/16 cup (20g) Sunflower Seeds (milled)
- 3 tbsp (38ml) Almond Milk (or equivalent)
- 50 g Unsweetened Dark Chocolate

Instructions
1 Mix it all together until you get a dough that you can shape with your hand into 10 little balls.
2 Melt your chocolate and pour half of it into your chocolate mould.
3 Add the little protein balls in the middle of each mould and cover with the rest of your chocolate.
Note:
To get a variation in colour for the chocolates, use a combo of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate coloured pink with a bit of natural red food colouring and some coconut oil to prevent the white chocolate from getting gloopy as it melts.
