Recipe: Bulgur Wheat & Banana Breakfast Bowl
Posted in: recipe, on 7 Nov 2016
It's getting colder and we're craving something warm and comforting to take the edge off those chilly mornings. Bulgur wheat is a fantastic source of vitamins, minerals, fibre and protein, and since it's still delicious cooked with water, it's the perfect low-fat alternative to a milky porridge. Plus it has a low glycemic index, which is great for your blood sugar level. Thanks to Artisan Grains for sharing this recipe with us. Who cares if it's dark and cold when we've got this to look forward to in the morning?

2 Mix the yogurt, honey and cinnamon in a small bowl.
3 Add the walnuts and brown sugar to the bulgur wheat and mix together.
4 Top the bulgur wheat with banana slices and spoon the yogurt mixture over the top.
5 Sprinkle with additional cinnamon and serve.
