In this sumptuous recipe, Jersey Salted Caramel Sauce is used to caramelise figs which, when paired with goats cheese, create an unforgettable sweet and savoury combination that will wow your dinner party guests.

Instructions

1 Cut the bread into 1.5 cm slices and then cut into pieces that will fit a slice of fig on top.

2 Brush each side of the bread with walnut oil and bake at 180 degrees (160 fan) until just brown.

3 Add a thin slice of the cheese onto bruschetta, or spread if soft enough.

4 Slice the figs and place a piece on each bruschetta. Brush or spoon half a teaspoon of Jersey Salted Caramel Sauce on to each fig and grill until just caramelised.

5 Serve on a platter with a little more drizzle of warm caramel if desired and scatter with rosemary.
